Objective
Assist th BU safety Manager in the management of Road Safety issues in the Plant operations and distribution activities to achieve an effective and sustainable safety culture and performance in the Company's logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the BU Safety Manager in the implementation of the five (5) pillars for Road Safety Management in the whole distribution chain.
  • Organize Monthly Safety Meetings with RT contractors and drivers on safety performance and advisories compliance issues.
  • Conduct Toolbox talks and ensure they are communicated to all staff and contractors drivers. Discuss all learnings from BU and Group incidents with contractors/drivers and follow up on remedial actions. 
  • Be the custodian of the Hazard Register of the road transport operations and monitor implementation of the remedial actions from the Transport safety cases.
  • Conduct quarterly audit of road transport contractors.
  • Champion the Road Safety related Near Misses reporting and follow up programme and compile the Road Safety Performance (Safety KPI's) of the BU.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned by the BU Safety Manager and other functional heads or incidental to the above. 
Candidates's Profile
  • First degree in engineering, or science based subjects
  • Health and safety management with not less than 5 years experience
  • Membership of a recognized safety body
  • Good supervisory and people management skills
  • Coomputer literacy in general and in particular familiarity with MS Office like Excel, Word and Lotus Notes. Powerpoint is essential.
  • Good communications skills

PTDF Drilling Engineers Training Programme (DETP)

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is the Federal Government's Agency mandated to build capacities in Nigeria's oil and gas industry. The Fund has over the years been developing and implementing several programmes to meet identified human resources requirements to enhance the active participation of Nigerians in the industry.

PTDF Drilling Engineers Training Programme (DETP) 2012

In furtherance of its mandate, the Fund wishes to commence the Drilling Engineers Training Programme to boost local capacity for Drilling/ Production activities in the oil and gas industry. This initiative involves the training of Nigerian engineers at the Institute of Petroleum, IFP, and France as internationally certified Drilling Engineers for effective participation in the industry's upstream sector activities to enhance Nigerian Content.

Duration
The said programme has 4 months duration.

Eligibility
Further to the above, the Fund hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who fall under the following two categories:
  1. Previous graduates of the PTDF Engineering Design Training Programme (EDTP).
  2. Young graduate Engineers who are staff of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC).
Requirements
Applicants for the training programme must meet the following requirements:
  • Possession of a first degree or M Sc. in the following engineering disciplines; Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic and Marine engineering ONLY 
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of second class lower degree
  • Applicants must not be above 35 years of age
Candidates are to note that only those who meet the requirements would be short listed and invited for an Online Test.

  • Certificates: O' level, WAEC or NETCO results - (Not Applicable for staff of NPDC)

Qualification/Experience:
  • 2 years of online media planning/buying experience.
  • Good writing and presentation skills, strong negotiation skills, detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through.
  • Working knowledge of basic media math and negotiations tools including, but not limited to: CPM/CPA/CPC modeling, ROI forecasting, cost negotiation and budgeting.
  • Strong personal case studies with attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience using DoubleClick/Dart and/or AtlasDMT adserving technologies.
  • Experience with online research tools including Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance, ComScore, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Highly numerate; extremely good in maths and very good use of excel.
